This photo was snapped this morning by Susan Berliner at Lynn/Nahant beach. She said the work took 3 hours to complete, and the artist was helped out by his son calling from the third floor of a building across the street. High tide would ultimately erase his work. “A walk on the beach is always an adventure,” said Berliner. “I never know what I’m going to find.”
She added, “Revere has a sand sculpture contest. Maybe Lynn should have a sand drawing contest in the summer.”

WOW! This is amazing! And to think it was cold too outside while they were drawing!

Genius. Sand drawing contest. Start at low tide and have viewings throughout the day while people are making them. Is this something a lot of people do?

Thanks for posting this. I drove by there while the artist was on the beach drawing a grid, and afterward kept wondering what the heck they were doing. Mystery solved!

Good potential for more sand art today. Everyone keep your eyes open!
