It’s been 18 days since I called the city’s Graffiti Hotline about the gang graffiti at Williams Avenue Park (see previous post). I don’t want to see the park slide back into the state I found it in:
Williams Avenue Park, June 2009
Don’t the people who live closer to it care? (There I go again, jumping to conclusions.)

We’ve still had no luck with the tagged Mayo buildings, with more than one councilor supposedly trying to prod Mayo to do something. I wouldn’t – but it would be so tempting to just convince a tagger to scrawl something disparaging about Mayo near the other tags on their properties just to get them to pay attention and paint over all of them. Well, I’m running out of reasonable options.

Note: I checked the park on Sunday, Nov. 6 and the graffiti was gone. Will disable the counting app as soon as I can.
