Apply to be on a City Committee or Advisory Board

Posted on June 13, 2010

What’s that, you say? Got a problem with trash in the city? Want to improve the image of Lynn? Make it into more of a destination for business and residence? Playgrounds and Parks not clean enough for ya?

Here’s an idea. Apply to be on a city committee or advisory board! Applications are being accepted until June 15 for the Economic Development and Industrial Corporation (EDIC).

The EDIC functions as the development bank of Lynn. It’s job is to encourage business to locate here by offering financing and other resources. Working with the Office of Economic and Community Development (OECD), the EDIC made it easier for The Blue Ox to come downtown. It is a key player in the waterfront development.  It established the new Cleantech Innoventure Center, an incubator for green start-ups on the 4th Floor of the J.B. Blood building–a place where such business can locate and get help growing.

Read all the latest news about the EDIC here. The application for a seat at the committee table is here. What are you waiting for?
