Come to the Lynn Museum to celebrate the beginning of the second season of Arts After Hours programming in Downtown Lynn this Thursday, August 18th, at 7:00PM.

The soiree features Black Dog Brother, Mean Creek and The Cinnamon Fuzz on the mainstage, SpiralGlyphics Fire Dancing, wine and beer from Turbine Wine Bar and GFB Consulting on the grills serving up some Italian Sausage, Carribean Jerk Chicken and Roasted Corn on the Cob.

Tickets at artsafterhours.com are $10 in advance, $15 at door. Food and drink are extra.

The 2nd Annual Back Yard Bash will celebrate local original art, music, food, and wine. At 9:30 PM, the event will move to the exterior of LynnArts for a fire spinning, eating, fleshing and dancing performance by SpiralGlyphics. This performance art segment of the evening is free to the general public. After-party will take place at Turbine Wine Bar at 56 Central Square.

The Cinnamon Fuzz’s newest album, Cruise of the Century, was listed as a 2010 favorite by Boston Music Spotlight. Mean Creek, one of Boston’s hottest bands of 2011, recently won Best Act in Boston in the Boston Phoenix’s 2011 Best Music Poll. “The caliber of bands that responded to our call was phenomenal,” says Corey Jackson, Managing Director of Arts After Hours.

The event will also feature a for-sale art and demonstrations by local artists Lisa DeJoie (jewelry), Farah Ahmad (woven jewelry), Sean Lobdell (painter), Danielle Girard (craft), Katie Sullivan (fine art), Tim Thurott (furniture), the artists of Spyral Glyphics, and more.

Greg Gray, owner of GFB Consulting, will be on hand serving up the most delicious backyard fare. The menu will include Italian Sausage with peppers and onions, Caribbean Jerk Chicken, and roasted corn on the cob. Turbine Wine Bar will serve beer and wine at the event.
